Firewood

During the winter months, hand split firewood is available at the Cuba Township Road District garage for free on Fridays only. It is limited by the size of a standard automobile trunk; this is approximately 30 pieces of wood. You can come every Friday between the hours of 7AM - 3PM. Food, Money, or Gift Card donations for the Cuba Township Food Pantry are accepted at that time.

Recycling

Cuba Township Road District has become heavily involved in recycling of most types of commodities. We have an agreement in place with other Townships, the EPA and Lake County Solid Waste Management for the recycling of everything from paint to computers, batteries, tires and most everything else, except large appliances and Household Chemicals. Paint is never Accepted between November 1st and April 1st. Call for an exact list of what is acceptable as it changes depending on the time of year with much recycling shutting down during winter months.

We accept the following Electronics, year round:

Desktop Computers, Laptops, Keyboards, Mice, Cables and Cords, Monitors, Typewriters, Stereos, VCR Players, DVD Players, Television Sets, including Flat Screens, Cell Phones, Cameras, Copiers, Fax Machines, Speakers and Amplifiers, Batteries, Hair Dryers, Small Kitchen Appliances, Alarm Systems and Postage Machines.

During 2011, we will set up a "Household Chemical Day." Watch this site for more information.

Brush Drop Off Program

We accept Brush Drop off at the Mulch Pile Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7-3.
